After 20 years, MuggleNet relaunched its brand with an all-new website, logo, motion graphics, and even new owners. This package was put together to celebrate the website's most accomplished moments as well as show off the more modern motion graphics and logo, both of which Kathleen oversaw the creation of.
As video became more and more prominent across social platforms, like many, MuggleNet shifted its focus to a different kind of social-first content. This video features the former end slate, which Kathleen had a hand in creating.
During the early days of the pandemic, MuggleNet used its unique position within the community to bring exclusive content to their audience. Kathleen booked the guests, approved and edited copy, oversaw slate/graphic creation, and reviewed final video edits.
Following the hateful and harmful anti-trans rhetoric of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, MuggleNet vowed to hold more frequent charity events. Fandom Games for Good was a three-day live production in which Kathleen collaborated with other volunteers on the concept, branding, graphics, motion graphics, coding, content creation, and production, along with recruiting other fansites and community entities to participate as players.
On the precipice of global recognition for her New York Times #1 Bestseller Grisha Trilogy and Six of Crows, author Leigh Bardugo joined the podcast to promote the next novel in the Six of Crows series, Crooked Kingdom. Kathleen booked the guest and collaborated with the audio editor on the final edit.
Actor Arjun Gupta (The Magicians, How to Get Away with Murder, Nurse Jackie) bonded over his love of Harry Potter with host Kat during a set visit in Vancouver, Canada in December 2015 and appeared on the podcast a few months later. Kathleen booked the guest, was a cohost on the episode, and collaborated with the audio editor on the final edit.
One of the podcast's many charitable collaboration episodes, Luna Lovegood actress Evanna Lynch joined the podcast team for a commentary episode of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Kathleen booked the guest, sought out and partnered with the charity, collaborated with the audio editor on the final edit, and created social-first video content for promotion.
